I'm currently living in Orlando, Florida with my wonderful boyfriend, Kevin. We enjoy good food, fun movies, and experience all the travel we can. In fact, we met in Alaska where we were both cooking professionally at a resort. I've attended Kendall College in Chicago, Illinois, studying the Culinary Arts and found a new appreciation for food there. I love to cook anything but I'm working on my baking skills. I also like to challenge myself to make yummy meals using what I have on hand - kind of like a personal Iron Chef competition. We don't really have much in the way of any traditions in my family but I'm told I come from a line of great home cooks. I consider anything I prepare that Kevin enjoys to be a success! I have unfortunate luck with brown sugar. I don't keep it in a container, and storing it in the package it came in proves to be best for me. Since I don't measure, a little brown sugar usually turns into a lot.
