Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings
About this Cook
Well, as it's mentioned above, I'm getting better at cooking. I just got married in September '06, so I've been learning how to cook dinner. Before marriage, I considered myself just a baker or dessert maker. But I'm beginning to really enjoy the entree side of cooking :)
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, breads, anything new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother makes the best chicken pies from scratch. My mom is known for her dessert prowess. And I'm just beginning :)
My cooking triumphs
I'm proud to say that I'm definitely not afraid to try a recipe at least once.
My cooking tragedies
Ironically, I accidentally caught one of my cookbooks on fire from the stove while the in-laws were visiting. Priceless!

Baked Potato Soup
This was so easy to make and such a full-bodied flavor! I omitted the hot sauce completely, and it was divine! Definitely a keeper, and I look forward to making it this fall and winter!

BLT Pasta Salad
I was a little disappointed that this wasn't nearly as flavorful as I had hoped. I added shredded cheddar cheese as well to give additional flavor, but it didn't help that much.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes
Excellent pancakes! It was my first time using whole wheat flour so I used 1 cup of the w.w. and 1/4 c. of all-purpose white flour. Instead of blueberries, I used bananas and they were excellent. The leftovers froze well too.
