Very good flavor but seemed to not sit real well. A little on the rich side. Next time I won't use the whole package of soup mix.

Gulliver's Cream Corn

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
Amazing recipe. We followed it to a tee and it was outstanding. We used fresh milk and cream from the dairy and it was more like a main dish or dessert. To call it a "side dish" was an insult. People should follow the recipe before rating it, when you change it, add other ingredients and measurements, it is not the same recipe! I never add MSG and it is fabulous!

Killer Artichokes

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
Oh my GOSH!! These were better than any artichoke that I have ever eaten. I used a lot more shallot and garlic so it was very thick butter. It was incredible!!! UPDATE: last time I added a pinch of smoked sea salt. I forgot it this time and it was "missing" something. If you get the chance to add a sea salt, it enriches it!

I made this for a potluck and it was wonderful. I didn't have almonds, but I had pine nuts. It made it taste even more buttery. Sure HIT.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
I like Sloppy Joes, but they are not usually a favorite. I didn't have quite enough ketchup so I added a little Red Hot sauce. I also don't like green peppers, so I did not add them.

Sugar Plum No-Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
These are a fun "sugar plum" treat. I made them and they are sweet, but they turned out really cute and the kids LOVE them. My husband being included in the kids. We did a box of rum balls, old fashioned sugar plum and these and it was a lovely gift. We are going to serve them on Christmas Eve when we do the Night before Christmas story. Thank you for the recipe, it will be a fun treat!

Chinese Green Bean Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
We scaled it down to 4 servings. We made it with frozen green beans and it was way too salty. We did not care for this. I won't be making it again.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
Rave reviews on this dish. It was a snow store and I was tired of the regular cooking so I went through the freezer and went to this site to find dinner. It was AMAZING! It is a regular dish for us now. I add garlic and make the sauce double or triple so there is enough for rice or mashed potatoes.

You have to add the sesame seeds or it is just not the same. I forgot how easy a regular tossed salad was. My hubby loved it!

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
THis was a life saver during a snow storm. We couldn't go to the store and were snowed in for days. I went through the freezer and cupboards and this was what we had. IT is yummy and easy. My step daughter had three helpings. It became one of our regular meals. We have taken it on camping trips and prepared it in wrapped in aluminum foil. Very good and very easy!

My step daughters favorite food. She requested Caesar salad for her birthday dinner and I found this recipe. She LOVED it and it is now a staple in our rotation. UPDATE- We love this recipe and can no longer order a Caesar when we are out. They just don't hold up to this one. The best by far!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Yes, another awesome review! Now when I see a banana that looks a little old, I throw it in the freezer so I can make this. I have enough bananas to make a couple loafs so when it gets cooler outside, I will be a baking machine. Everyone LOVED this recipe!

Curried Cashew, Pear, and Grape Salad

WOW. Wouldn't change a thing, loved every part of it and my poor husband didn't eat any dinner, just salad and ate so much he was stuffed! It got better with every bite. If anyone knows how to make the curry mix stick to the cashews, please let me know! I plan to make that up and store it in a container for use anytime! YUMMMMM

Peach Curry Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
We had a bunch of peaches to get rid of so I thought instead of canned peaches I would use the real thing. It was awesome and my husband is thrilled that it is a year around dish and not just seasonal. For the canned juices I made a simple sugar sauce and thickened it up and added pureed peaches for the jam. It turned out incredible.
