About this Cook
I can bake up a storm--cookies, cakes, pies, and specialty desserts--but when it comes to making a hearty meal I'm a little clueless...
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, piroshki, & enchiladas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When it comes to a large meal everyone must do their part.
My cooking triumphs
Blueberry brownies :), piroshki, and a sweet honey liquor called Mead (over 2 years before the corks blew but well worth the wait).
My cooking tragedies
Marble Cheesecake Brownies! The brownie always overcooks or the cheesecake mixture gets chewie. My regular brownies are always soft and delicious but when I try to add another wet mixture it just doesn't work.

Beef and Pita Casserole
This is a great recipe! I've made it a few different times now (sometimes using a foccacia bread round to make it pizza-style with cheese melted on top) & I have to say it is forever in the family recipe box! It's delicious made as described but also an excellent base recipe that I can easily change a few things to fit my mood (or my cupboards!) Thanx for posting!
