Bandito Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I made these a few days ago and they were great! I did as other reviewers suggested and cooked down the sauce a bit on the stovetop first. Otherwise, a big hit, even with my 3-year-old.

KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* Curry Chicken Bites

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
These were quick and easy. The taste was mild, but there was good flavor. Great for kids! For grownups I might add extra garlic and curry, and maybe a spicy dipping sauce...but my 3-year-old grandson loved them as is.

Sesame Crisps

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
These cookies had a nice flavor, but stuck to the pan even with greasing and flattened out too much around the edges and were soft in the middle, which made it even harder to get the stuck cookies off.

Spring Lime Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
Not bad, but the cookies themselves had very little lime flavor. I added about 1/2 cup powdered sugar to the cookie dough because it was a little thin and then used powdered sugar instead of white sugar for the glaze. Very good when glazed!!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
These are the lightest, melt-in-your-mouth cookies I have ever made! I have made them twice now and they could not be easier. The first batch was as per recipe. The second batch I topped with 1/2 tsp of strawberry and cherry preserves. This was just as good and a great substitute if you don't have maraschino cherries on hand. They are also great as plain shortbread cookies.

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
I made this recipe for a small luncheon I catered. I used 2 extra tbsp lemon juice and used goat cheese. Served it over rice pilaf and they just raved!!! Very simple prep, just takes a little effort, but the results were worth it.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Have said it before, as has everyone else! Try this salad!! Make is "as is" the first time, but serve dressing on the side. Then tweak it as you like. Very versatile. Great with Splenda or sugar. I have made with several different nuts and cheeses, as well as dried mixed fruits, cherries, etc. Never disappointing. Catered my office Christmas party and this was the salad. I had none left!! Don't be afraid of the combo...just close your eyes and step into heaven.....

Minestrone Ravioli Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Great concept!! I substituted prepared spaghetti sauce for the tomatoes (I didn't have any) and a 10-ounce pkg of frozen spinach for the fresh. Also threw in a little green pepper for flavor and color. I made a double recipe and froze some for a busy night. The family loved this new soup!!!

Baked Fruit Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Great recipe. Takes a little work, but worth it. My family didn't care for the orange peel, though. I would leave that out next time. This recipe has a lot of potential to be used with pears or whatever you like. I did brush 1/4 c. butter on the tops prior to baking.

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Awesome pie...more like a coffee cake, really. So much better after it's been in the refridgerator for a day or two!! Great with almonds, too.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

I was just looking for a way to use some fresh pears and stumbled on this recipe. My whole family was licking the bowl!!! Absolutely divine dressing paired with sweet, crunchy, tart, and salty. I could find no fault with this recipe except that it runs out too soon!!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
absolutely awesome way to serve fruit! Worth every second of slicing and dicing. I made this last night and my family begged me to make more today! I used fresh strawberries, kiwi, peaches, grapes, and Granny Smith apples with apricot preserves. AND the chips or the salsa could stand alone very nicely.

Triple Bypasses

Awesome recipe!! Can't eat it everyday, but for something unique for a BBQ, this is it! I fried mine in a skillet because our grill is not working. Then I rolled them in the BBQ sauce and place on a wire rack in a broiler pan to bake up nice and crispy. My family wanted more, but, of course, couldn't eat it. Very filling.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
This recipe made a great sticky bun. The only thing I changed was to add 1/4 c. cream cheese to the 1/4 butter that was spread on the dough before rolling. This seemed to make the rolls hold their moisture, even after cooling. Not that we had many left to get cold!!! I have gotten request after request from friends to make these and bring to work. Fairly easy and economical pastry.

Angel Pillows

These are awesome cookies, but I also added more preserves. I made a batch with no-sugar-added preserves, Splenda brown sugar blend in the cookies, and Splenda in the frosting...couldn't tell the difference. I also topped them with julienned dried apricots on top. Yummy!!!
