Thanksgiving dinner! I do the standards and it's my favorite holiday. There is something so gratifying about seeing that beautiful dinner, surrounded by family and friends. Thanksgiving with all the trimmings, as well as my mom's recipe for cranberry salad. It's a party in your mouth! People always ask for my Kahlua Chocolate Cake. It is wickedly rich. I was making spaghetti sauce for my family and I had an uber-sized container of black pepper. I love black pepper and it wasn't coming out fast enough, so I unscrewed the lid, turned it over and...out came about a half-cup of black pepper! Well, I managed to spoon out the bulk of the pepper, stirred in the rest and didn't say anything to my family. You should have seen the look on my brother's face as he ate that spaghetti! Priceless!!!! Then there was the time that I was going to a pot-luck dinner party and decided to bring manicotti. I had done my grocery shopping in the morning and was going to prepare the manicotti in the afternoon for the party in the evening. All my supplies were set out in preparation of assembly, when I realized that to my horror, I had purchased bratwurst instead of Italian sausage!!! OH NO!!!! There was no time to go back to the grocery store, so I made the recipe adding inordinate amounts of Italian seasoning. That night at the party, I watched the party-go
