I like to look for a great recipe and change it...really I do..I try to follow the recipe but I usually change some thing in it...I just can't follow it....

I love to bake...breads, cookies, cakes, you name it!
My cooking tragedies
Usually forgetting to add an ingredient...once when I was 14 or so, I did not know what confectioners sugar was and made a frosting for a cake out of regular sugar...very Gritty, I don't recommend that substitution.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch
GREAT! I substituted the sugar for splenda and the brown sugar for the splenda brown sugar.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie
I enjoyed this pie. I did substitute all of the sugar in the pie (except the sprinkle) with splenda.

Maureen's Baked Beans
I followed the recipe (which is unusual for me) and everyone that I have served this to loved it and have had many people ask me for the recipe. The only thing I did different is to make it in a crock pot, it does get a little soupy but I have not had any complaints.
