Wasn't sure what to expect as i have never benn to hawaii - but it was a good day to try it with our temperatures showing 30 below with windchill! I put this in the crockpot early morning went to work and came back to a wonderful smell - i used a 3.5 pork butt roast and went a little light on the liquid smoke as i did not want to overpower - it was perfect - the smoke came thru vey nice and the liquid left was tasty- my husband and son loved it couldn't believe something so simple could tast so good

Glazed Apple Cookies

not sure i liked these cookies - they tasted pretty good, but seemed almost to moist and seemed to get "wetter" the longer they sat - not sure what i did wrong. I am glad i tried them but don't think i will put these into regular rotation

Boudreaux's Zydeco Stomp Gumbo

My husband and I made this together - he worked on the roux which came out perfect for our first time, I used a cajun spiced sausage and removed casing, it re-heated great - my son liked it even better the next day - made a lot and will freeze some for a quick meal when temps get colder

So easy and good. I will make this often. Used a local spicy italian sausage it added a little addtional heat (we like spicy).

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

These cookies reminded me of my Grandma's cookies - unfortunatley she never wrote anything down!! They were so good - very "cakey" my husband and son ate about a dozen before i was even finished baking - the glaze is a little on the sweet side and by the last batch i was glazing very lightly. these are keepers!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

This was a hit with my family - didn't have alot of time to marinate so only marinated for about an hour but still tasted great - my husband told me to make sure i don't lose this recipe. 4 stars only because i just used the meat part of the recipe - didnt have time to do the vegitable roasting - next time will make sure i have more time

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

This was one of the best pies i have ever made! I didn't have a lot of time so used a premade pie crust and added some cinnamon to the mix it smelled and tasted soo good. Served with vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect end to a great day - The Packers beat the Redskins ;D

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This was good - next time will double the recipe as it didn't make enough for my family of 3, it was super easy tho so i will be making it on regular basis during this fall and winter, will probably substitue venison

Clone of a Cinnabon

Oh my gosh!! This was awesome!! My husband came home from bear camp and I had these waiting he ate 2 right away!! I will be making this alot! I made without a bread machine and it was very easy- this is definatly a keeper
