I've had some time on my hands recently so I'm enjoying stretching myself in the kitchen and learning to cook new things. I've blogged most of my foodie moments since October 2006 on www.myspace.com/georgeinthekitchen
My favorite things to cook
Thai food is my number one. A had one week earlier this year where I cooked a different Thai meal every night. Other than that my food is mostly English, French or Italian inspired. Most meals contain an onion or shallot, and my most useful ingredient is creme fraiche as it is so versatile.

Fresh Semolina and Egg Pasta
I needed a few splashes of water too otherwise the dough just crumbled. Very tasty though.

Lemon Garlic Mushrooms
When I came to do this recipe I realised I would be using my grill for something else, so I marinated the mushrooms in the other ingredients for an hour and then sauted them. Lovely!
