Just a newlywed, married my best friend and am so happy! Teaching Kindergarten is my day job and consumes my life for 9+ months of the year! I also have a wonderful family, extended family, and 6 great nieces and nephews who are growing up too quickly! I have a tendency to stare at pasta recipes and want to try them all! I love to make casseroles, and see how easy crock-pot meals are during the school year! I also love to bake! Cookies, brownies, apple and cherry pies, homemade cheesecakes, muffins, quick breads! I would like to venture more into comfort soups during the cold winter months, and start attempting to make bread from scratch! Thanksgiving always comes to mind! Mom's homemade stuffing is the most favored part of the meal for me and I've never attempted to make it myself! Also, cookies and goodies that are made for Christmas just make the holidays feel right! Probably the first time I made a homemade cheesecake! I had always heard how hard they were and it turned out perfectly! I also enjoy any time I try a new recipe for my new hubby and he makes that "happy" noise as he eats and I know I've got a winner! Well, just recently I made a chicken marinade from allrecipes and I was so proud of what I did, hubby was tired after work, so I thought I'd do it all and start the grill, well.....I didn't pull the new gas grill quite far enough away from the vinyl siding on an extremely hot day and I warped the vinyl siding! Hubby was kind, but didn't like the chicken the first night, but loved it later as a leftover! He was too worried about the siding the night we grilled it! He loves me anyway!
