Wife of a wonderful husband whom I love spending time with traveling, boating, and riding our motorcycles. Mother of three beautiful children and one adorable granddaughter. Oh yeah, and I work full time and I'm a graduate student. Well, it's summertime and I love to grill. I like coming up with new and different balanced meals. And I love trying new recipes that I see on Food Network. When I was a little girl, my granny always cooked country fried chicken and homemade pies on Sundays. I don't cook with lard... and I'm not much of a baker, but I sure do miss Gran's cookin'. These days my only real family cooking tradition is the turducken dinner that I cook on Christmas day including a no-bake cream cheese pumpkin pie. Hmmm... I think I'm still working on that one. I think my cooking triumph will be when I am able to recreate excactly one of my own creations. I really should start writing them down. =) Oh my... well that could be a long list. I'll have to add to it later.
