Hey I'm from Ireland, currently living in the U.S. Hoping that wont be permanent! I love to do Chinese and I have attempted some Sushi...that turned out terrible but I tried!! Hahaha! One thing I miss about home is a good curry!! So i'm trying to perfect one! The only traditions I have come from my Grandmother on my dad's side. My mother doesnt cook at all beyond microwave meals. One is a chicken stew, another is bacon and cabbage of course! And a family favourite of ours is Pandy...which is mashed potatoes with a good knob of real kerrygold butter and some milk...delicious! Potato au gratin! And that's a Maria secret recipe!! You will be licking your plate for a week!!! Spring rolls! Leave it to the experts! HAhahaa! And sushi...leave it to the experts...I'm sure there's more.
