Best Ever Pie Crust
This is the recipe used by my mother and grandmother before her. I have been baking pies for 40 years and have never used anything but this wonderful recipe. Use no other shortening other than Crisco. It is always flaky and very easy to handle. I get nothing but compliments on the pastry whenever I serve pies. Also, Fresh Lobster, one cup of shortening IS the proper ratio for two cups of flour in this particular recipe. This is what gives the result of a very flaky pastry. The only thing I would stress is to chill your bowl, pastry cutter, rolling pin, etc. in the freezer before using and store your Crisco in the fridge to keep it ready to use. Excellent recipe!!
