About this Cook
I'm married and have a 1 1/2 year old boy. My job is being the mom. I love to take my little man jogging with me while I push his jogging stroller, and for bike rides with him in his seat on the back. We try to get outside as much as we can. My husband will be starting dental school next fall.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking, but I LOVE baking, especially desserts, cookies, sweet breads, etc. I especially love to make seasonal things when it comes to holidays.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a big family without a ton of traditions. I am trying to instill some before it's too late, while starting new ones for my own little family.
My cooking triumphs
When dinner is ready at dinnertime! 30 minute meals usually take an hour, maybe it's because of the one year old who wants to be held all the time...
My cooking tragedies
I was making my mother-in-laws famous spaghetti and meatball sauce for my family. I had to triple the recipe to feed them all, and somehow x6'd the salt amount. Didn't realize it until it was too late...we ate salty meatballs.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
I even halved the recipe, and added a splash of vanilla. Tastes so much better than a mix, and this way you know exactly what is inside, no preservatives and artificial junk. Next time I'll make half the flour wheat flour.

Best Brownies
I've tried at least 5 different brownies from this site (one of my weaknesses) and this one came up my favorite. Not quite fudgy, not quite cakey. I haven't tried the frosting recipe on it, I like to top it with a scoop of mint ice cream.
