I'm a graduate home economist from Penn State class of 57. I was an Air Force wife who stayed at home with our three children until they were all on their own. I retired as a volunteer of our church kitchen where we did a lot of quantity cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Anything. I like to experiment
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to make favorite things for the kids come home with the grandchildren.
My cooking triumphs
Fixing an all Ukrainian dinner for the Kiev Symphony Orchestra and Chorus that were visiting. They loved the borscht and pelmini in particular. They were tired of American food by the time they reached Ohio and I was able to wow them with foods from home.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make a vanilla pudding for 250 people that burned on the bottom and never thickened. It went down the drain!
