About this Cook
I'm a father of two beautiful little girls. We live in a beautiful community which is great for families, close to work and offers beautiful beach. For fun we love going to the beach, walks to the corner store and I also enjoy quading, movies and video games.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy grilling outside with a cold beer. I don't just like to cook, I like to find the best recipes and enjoy them with company on my deck. I love making ribs and wings for guy's night at the house, with some super stuffed potatoes as a side and a six pack.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma is Ukrainain and there was always cooked cold perogies in the fridge along with beet soup or borche (I hope I spelt that right!) There was the traditional Sunday "after church" dinner, with either chicken, duck or ham, perogies, cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes and veggies.
My cooking triumphs
I suppose as mentioned above, anytime my friends come over the rave about my wings, ribs, and potatoes. Though they are not the healthiest things in the world, hitting the gym a few times a week pays off in the end, LOL. Another triumph of mine was making authentic homemade greek baclava and perfecting my beet soup recipe and finally making...if I can say this..."better than my grandma." Sorry Grandma...just remember...it started with you. Love ya!
My cooking tragedies
I don't really have any, however, my grandmother one time used Frech Vanilla Creamer for a white sauce for brocolli because we had no milk or cream in the house...she hated to waste stuff, LOL! It was more than awful!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
I have always received compliments from these wings. I follow the recipe exactly, and using my wok, deep fry them in peanut oil. I then put them in a covered pot with Thai Sweet and Spicy Sauce, shake, then serve.
