To say I'm a cooking novice is an understatement. My dear husband eats whatever I put in front of him without complaint, but I judge how good it is by the quickness the leftovers leave the fridge. I love to cook Italian foods, mostly because I love to eat Italian food. I've recently learned that I can bake. My freezer is full of cookies and breads. And chocolate cake never lasts long! We have a standing tradition of Easter Dinner with our closest friends. I have a homemade pasta sauce recipe that I have mastered. It makes quick dinners a snap since it freezes so wonderfully. Um, too many to count. But I'm getting better. I tried to make a sit-down dinner for several friends and most courses were cold, some burnt and one actually undercooked (oops). At least dessert was okay (store bought ice cream). My friends still mention that meal on occasion.
