I am an IS professional...and my job isn't very creative (artistically speaking), which is why I love to express myself in the kitchen. I am married and have three cats. My ultimate passion is baking. I love to try new desserts and I like to bring my goodies to work with me! My father always makes a big batch of chocolate chip cookies, and they are the best -- it's the perfect pick-me-up. My mother is a fabulous cook; she makes everything from scratch and would always create the best birthday dinners for us! This is a tradition that I want to keep when I have my own children. I am always very proud of myself when my father comments on how good something is -- he is a very picky person! I was also glad when I successfully cooked dinner for all of my in-laws, around 20 people :) My husband and I had the most wonderful baked blueberry french toast at a B&B on our honeymoon. The weekend that we got home I thought that it would be nostalgic to recreate the recipe, except that it turned out terrible! My husband was kind and started eating it, but when I realized that it wasn't good I told him to stop eating and we ordered pizza.
