Homemade Steak Sauce
My boyfriend found this and decided to try it after buying steaks one night...great because it was mostly staple items in the kitchen. Put in a bit of lemon and satsuma orange juice instead of grapefruit (none around) and some beefy onion soup for the broth...very thick while cooking so added more of all of the liquids and still found the spice flavours fine. Would suggest that the servings might be off (or we just put way more on the steaks and potatoes than was expected) because we'd cut the servings to 5 and just barely had enough. Great recipe - will def make again, thanks!

Hash Brown and Pork Chop Casserole
Great simple recipe! I did follow some other suggestions and cut the pork into bite-sized pieces, added bell peppers and tomatoes (mainly because I happened to have them around and needed to use them), and also coated the uncooked pork with pork seasoning before frying. Kept meat under the soup sauce to keep moist (which did very well) and cut baking time to about 25 min. Def a keeper! Thanks!

Potato Poofies
Tasty recipe (omitted cilantro and used some herbs I had on hand), but I had a lot of problems cooking these - I don't have cooking spray on hand so used a buttered pan, but when I went to turn the potatoes, they fell apart. Ended up just eating as mashed potatoes, which were quite good but not quite what I was going for. May try again in the future.
