My cooking tragedies
Not my tragedy but my roommate while going through college years ago. It was our first Thanksgiving away from home and my roommate wanted to make a turkey. She had never cooked a turkey on her own and I was unable to help as I had to work. I gave her a recipe and explained how to cook the turkey. As I was leaving for work, I reminded her to make sure she cleaned the turkey and clean out the innards before cooking it. I thankfully came home from work early that day. As I entered the apartment the overwhelming scent of bleach hit me. I walk into the kitchen to find the turkey sitting in the sink soaking in bleach....my roommate was trying to clean the turkey! This cooking story really happened even though it sounds far fetched. Its one of the funniest things that I'll never forget.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
I love this recipe, however, I have found that it is much easier to cook on low for 10 hours and turn the slow cooker on before I go to bed the night BEFORE we want it. The next morning, I take a fork and everything falls a part on its own. I add more BBQ sauce, stir and place the crock pot in the fridge and off to work I go. When I get home, I pull the crock pot out, turn it back on high for 2 hours and serve....Letting it sit all day allows for the sauce to soak up into the pork.

Braised Balsamic Chicken
My husband didn't care for it but that's not the recipe's fault as he hates Balsamic, however this gets a big 5 star from me as I absolutely loved it.
