About this Cook
I didn't grow up cooking, so it is something that I have grown to love. When I plan meals, they always turn out spectacular. Friends always compliment my cooking. I struggle with "throwing things together" and would like to get better at quick cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, pasta
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always made the best english toffee cookies. Will have to put the recipe online someday. So good and easy!
My cooking triumphs
Before we got married, my husband made a boring broccoli and chicken pasta. I have taken the basic ingredients and created something really special. Friends always request it and ask for the recipe. Problem is - it's only in my head.
My cooking tragedies
I made a banana pudding from scratch, put it in a beautiful trifle bowl and served it to friends at a dinner party. The pudding did not set, and it was a runny mess. It tasted really good, though. But who wants to eat ugly food?

Green Abundance
My finicky family loved this recipe. Yes, it is bland, so I too improvised. I used mushroom soup and added half a bag of frozen spinach. Also added a teaspoon of seasoned salt and about a cup of shredded, cheddar/monterey jack cheese. Great, easy recipe for personalizing to your family's preference. This one can take almost any variation!
