Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Great cake and very easy. Baked it in a 9 inch pan, didn't add the chocolate chips but did make as a "poke" cake by pouring instant chocolate pudding on the top. Delicious!

Rhubarb Bars

Very good. Even my daughters who don't eat rhubarb enjoyed this bar. Played with the recipe a bit to make it in a 9x13 pan. All in all, a new way to use rhubarb.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
A true winner. I have been making homemade chicken noodle soup for years and this is definitely the best. I made the recipe as indicated but did use others suggestion of adding precooked chicken from the grocery store with it's juices. A true keeper and so easy.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
Decided to try these cranberry cookies this Christmas instead of making our fresh cranberry cookies. They were very good when made as recipe indicates, however they were a bit sweet from the white chocolate. I think next year I will cut back on the white chocolate and add more dried cranberries.

Rainbow Cookies

These came out perfect. I did add 1/2 tsp. almond extract also. I had been searching for a good recipe for these cookies and I have finally found it. Not near as difficult as I thought they would be. Will now be on my holiday list forever.

Great Garlic Bread

This is so easy and tastes great. Much better than any garlic bread you can buy. I whip this up while my girls are getting the table for dinner and it comes out just as we sit down.

This is a definite keeper. The sauce was great. My whole family like it, even my husband who is not much of a chicken eater. The sauce really puts this over the edge.

Microwave Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
I too had trouble getting the curd to thicken in the microwave. After about 10 minutes I added about 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken. That worked. I followed the recipe except cut the butter back to 1/3 cup. I don't believe that would keep it from thickening though. Just as easy to cook and stir on the stove top.

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
This is a good recipe to work with. Like other readers,I added more honey and red pepper flakes. Also took an orange out of the fridge and used fresh orange juice instead of water to mix with corn starch then zested the orange and put the peel into the sauce. This added a great orange flavor. Will definitely make again. Family friendly

Sweet Potato, Pear and Pineapple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
Maybe I was expecting to much but had it not been for the topping this would have been a full disappointment. I had to make a carmel sauce to put over it so my family would eat it. Also found I had to bake it an additional 25 minutes for it to be done in the center. Will stick to my old bread pudding recipe.
