Let see, I'm a wife and mother of a 2 yr old. I was born and raised in New Hampshire and here I have stayed. I've attempted to move out several times but it's never seemed to actually happen.
I love to cook and I have to be slightly imaginative with my cooking as my husband does not like veggies (who doesn't like veggies???). I do, I could eat them all day. I'm a relatively healthy eater, he is not. I love him to death but he makes cooking difficult.
My favorite things to cook
How bout everything?
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess my only real family cooking tradition is on Thanksgiving and Christmas where everyone brings a pie. I make mine w/premade crusts (see cooking tragedy)
My cooking triumphs
Bread. For years I didn't make bread because it just seemed to complicated. This year I decided to bite the bullet and make some. I now make bread every week and I've been asked several times to make it for gift baskets and for get-together's. One of my best friends even asked me to make rolls for her Wedding in September because she wants fresh baked bread. This is going to be my first bulk 'order' so we will see how it goes. I'm very excited though!
My cooking tragedies
Pie crusts. I cannot make a piecrust to save my life. ther is always something inedible about the pie crusts that i've attempted to make. I've always been able to just whip up anything. I see a recipe, I make it, It comes out great. Pie crusts elude me somehow. It's my baking shame.
