About this Cook
Been cooking for a few years now. Recently got back into baking; made a pumpkin dish for each Monday of October 2009.
My favorite things to cook
Soup. Tomato soup is still funnest.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with gas.
My cooking triumphs
Cooked the turkey, chicken, stuffing, grading, and pies for Thanksgiving dinner. Heirloom tomato soup. Broccoli & baked potato soup. Chicken pot pie & crust. Bacon wrapped filet mignon (even though I don't like bacon). Chicken curry soup. Chicken Parmesan. Pumpkin cake. Pumpkin curry.
My cooking tragedies
Combining a butter chicken recipe with a broccoli recipe and adding rice in ways that caused all the separate recipes to work against each other. Train wreck.

Pumpkin Roll with Toffee Cream Filling and Caramel Sauce
I made one for home and four for work and all five were devoured. It's rather sweet, and the rolling is a bit tricky, but the result was delicious and it will surely be made again. Used Captain Morgan's for the rum.

Tomato Cucumber Salad
This came out amazing! I used half an onion, added a little extra virgin alive oil, and added sliced mozzarella balls.

Chicken with Couscous
I left out the zucchini and ginger, and used about half the jalapeno. I also used vegetable oil instead of olive. This came out pretty good. Will be attempting again at some point.
