Sweet Coated Pecans

These are excellent. I made this with whole almonds. My changes: I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar; only 1 T water; added a splash of vanilla; and the zest from 1/2 an orange. Very yummy. Try this, you won't be disappointed.

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Let me preface this review by saying that I hate lowfat baked goods. But, this recipe sounded pretty promising, so I tried it, and I am so glad I did. These are moist, flavorful, and I'll definitely make them again. Try them, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

I really wanted to love this recipe because it's so easy and how bad can wine and gravy mix be? I was disappointed in the flavor of the sauce as well as the consistency; I had to boil it for a few minutes to get it to a decent consistency after I removed from the oven. The color of the meat from the red wine was also unappealing. Thank you for sharing, but I won't be making this again.

Banana Cake VI

This cake was absolutely delicious and everyone loved it. I made several changes: I used 3 cups of powdered sugar for the frosting; it was plenty sweet.I baked the cake for 5 more minutes than called for because my toothpick test was a tad runny; an additional 5 minutes was perfect at that point. Finally, I did not freeze it; I felt it was an unnecessary step, and my cake was very moist without it. Definitely a keeper, thanks so much for sharing!!

Mom's Great Green Beans

These were easy and tasty. I used fresh green beans just because we like them better than canned. I put the beans in a pot and put in water to approximate the amount that would have been in a can. I added the other ingredients and brought to a boil, then covered the pot and "steamed" them. Very good, a definite keeper. Even good leftover too. Kids loved them.

Chicken Wing Dip

This tasted great and is definitely a keeper. Adjust the heat to your liking with more or less hot sauce, which I do depending on whether it will be served to kids or not. Mine don't like spicy food. I personally like more heat.

Flatlander Chili

This was a basic but really good chili recipe. Just what I was looking for. I used 1 pound ground beef and one pound ground turkey, and omitted the green pepper, but followed the recipe otherwise. The hubby loved it. Will definitely make again!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

These were really good! I did get the peanut butter consistency for the dough. My daughter and I formed them into balls the best we could. First batch we did flatten with a glass, second batch we didn't, and it really didn't make a difference, they still spread out. Great flavor and nice and chewy! The whole family loved them. Thanks!

This cake was amazing! I've never made carrot cake and I certainly chose the best recipe. I followed exactly except omitted the nuts both in the cake and frosting. Even my picky son liked it! Thanks for a great recipe! I'll make again and again.

I grew up eating City Chicken and this is very much like my grandmother's recipe. I agree with Next Top Chef about the pork AND veal cubes as well as browning and baking. It was great to see this recipe come around; thanks for sharing!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This was really good and easy. My kids even loved it. The sauce was tasty and the chicken was moist. I did not baste regularly; I baked it the first 30 minutes skin side down and then the second 30 minutes I turned skin side up and basted heavily so it would get nice and caramelized. Thanks!

I made this reluctantly because my kids are picky. I told them the sauce had ketchup in it, they tried it, and they loved it. Thanks for sharing this recipe; it's quick, easy, and delicious. I doubled the sauce.
