About this Cook
I'm a junior engineering student who got fed up with ramen noodles and decided to learn how to cook. My body thanks me.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook pretty much anything else requiring stove top attention. Baking just isn't for me; I like the excitement of stir-frying.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Microwaving! I'm a first-generation cook.
My cooking triumphs
I made a successful Thanksgiving dinner in '07.
My cooking tragedies
In my earliest days of cooking, I became an expert at fanning smoke away from the smoke alarm in my apartment.

Blue Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms with Grilled Onions
These were fantastic! I love stuffed mushrooms, and these are both the best and the easiest I've made. Gone in about two minutes.

Basil Shrimp
I tried this marinade for the first grill of the season. I agree with another reviewer who stated that they could taste only the mustard. Rather than the basil being the main feature, it was definitely the mustard. I was disappointed, though I may try again without the mustard.

Quick Sesame Green Beans
Yum. I bought a steamer basket specifically for this recipe, since it was so good the first couple of times I stir-fried the green beans. Wouldn't change anything about the recipe; is definitely a favorite.
