Peanut Butter Balls II

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Well having these around is torture!! I can't leave them alone.. they are just staring at me saying "come on... just one more" Very good!, Sweet! but good! I think next time, like others have posted, I will try the milk chocolate chips.. I think it would taste alot better.. but they are certainly good as is!! I'm sending them to my uncle for his b-day! I also dipped them using a toothpick after freezing them and found it was quite easy that way! then decorated with a few sprinkles..or as we call them, Jimmies! and I only had the cinnamon graham crackers so that's what i used! yum!

Gingerbread Boys

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
My cookies came out crispy even after just 10 min. I may have cut them too thin.. so I've got gingersnaps!... they are wonderful though!! The flavor of the orange really comes out... I used clementines and did not even use the full amount and could notice it in there.. Very nice addition.. It would have been even nicer if I wouldn't have been so lazy and zested a little more! ;) Very nice flavor.. try 'em! Oh.. and I, like others, subbed molasses for the corn syrup.. I just had to have molasses!! ;)

These were excellent.. I couldn't stop eating the bread even though I was full.. hubby even commented on how tasty it was... I would even make rolls out of this!!! It had a nice sweet flavor.. I loved it!! and will be making again! the inside was so soft and fluffy. I did bake them for 10 minutes after hollowing as recommended by others... no leaks and I gutted them pretty thin.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
We enjoyed this quick easy ziti! I made the sauce with the beef, onion, garlic and green pepper. then just added an egg to a tub of ricotta with some herbs.. no sourcream... the italian restaurant i used to work at always used ricotta so i figured it would be more authentic. After layering in pan I foiled the top and stuck it in the oven for 30 minutes.. We had nice saucy ziti and a salad!! And I have plenty left over to freeze for when baby comes! ;)

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
As FRATCOOK states, these ARE very simple to make! ~and delicious. I thought my husband was going to lose it right there... He didn't stop mmm-ing and ummmm-ing until he was through the second one and forced himself away from eating the whole plate. Said they were the best Macaroons he's ever had.. and his mother used to make them for him all the time. Mission accomplished!! ;) I made them as is.. baked until coconut was nice and toasty looking and then melted some chips and butter flavored crisco in microwave (30 seconds at a time then stir) and drizzled the chocolate with a spoon... I keep mine in the fridge cause I like them better cold. Can't go wrong with this recipe .. guaranteed!

This was definately a HUGE winner with my husband.. I loved it too.. not the healthiest meal on the planet, but hey, it could be worse right?!! I highly recommend trying it at least once.. so quick and easy you just have to wait for it to bake. I made the recipe as is and it was perfectly moist and delish... I wouldn't mess with it!

These are really good! I took the advice and doubled the spices with no regrets.. next time I'll actually triple the ginger. I've had my hand in the cookie jar all day.. and also made a couple of icecream cookies sandwiches with coffee icecream.. haven't tried those yet but I bet they'll be wonderful!!!

Ham and Swiss Braid

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
My husband and I really enjoyed this. I halved the recipe and did leave the pickles off. Even though we are pickle fanatics; warm pickles aren't quite as appetizing. I served this with ranch for dipping and a side salad. It made a wonderful lunch. :)
