I come from the part of Serbia also called "The bread basket of the Balkans" We bake a lot of goodies. Breads, rolls, cakes cookies, u name it we can do it on a modest budget. feed many with a little as my grandmother liked to say soups, nice easy and lots of space for experimenting. sunday lunch at grandma's always the same and always yummy as ever....i miss it a lot. The menu? :) Well, chicken broth with home made soup noodles, boiled vegetables on the side, then come mashed potatoes, tomato sauce, fried chicken, salad and of course bread... i love rice dishes, enjoy bread making, rolls and experimenting with bread flours and seeds.... sauerkraut disaster one time when i was in my twenties... I stick with sauerkraut with rice and sausage these days, hehehe
