No Bake Cookies V

I've used this recipe for years and the cookies are gone in a flash! I think it's the chunky peanut butter that makes this recipe! I usually buy the expensive peanut butter because the cheaper stuff just doesn't taste as good. But this recipe is a hit with everyone! Thanks!

Homemade Pancake Syrup

I can't believe I haven't rated this recipe yet! I've used it often and love it...so do my 3 kids and hubby. Once, I added more corn syrup to thicken it up a bit. Husband did not like that, but kids didn't mind. :) I've also tried it with just the brn sugar, as others suggested and it still turns out great! Thanks for the recipe!

Refried Beans Without the Refry

I can't believe I haven't rated this before! I make this all the time and it tastes much better than the canned store bought type. Only, I like my beans really mushy, so I do this a little differently than what the recipe states. I soak the beans in the crock pot overnight, then turn on low in the morning and leave it on that day and through the night. By the next day, they are mushy enough for me to squash w/o too much effort. Then, I put them in zip lock baggies to save for later.

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

This was surprisingly good!!! My 7 yr old had seconds, which is good cuz he doesn't usually care for soup. I put it all in the crock pot on high and it was ready in 2 hours. I left out the canned tomatoes, though, and added a little cheese. This, with the sweet dinner rolls on this web site, was yummy!!!

Angel Hair Pasta with Lemon and Chicken

I made this last night and my family thought it was good, although needed a little more spice. I loved how easy and quick it was to make, too! The little ones gobbled up the pasta. (I didn't use the one in this recipe...didn't have it on hand. Instead, I used some bow tie pasta.) This recipe is a keeper, though, and I will make it again! Thanks!

Homemade Butter

WOW! I was a little skeptical about this recipe because I thought that "heavy whipping cream" only made "heavy whipping cream." I learn a lot from this web site about cooking! :) I didn't have cheesecloth, so I used a strainer with a paper towel and pushed the excess milk out with a cup. Kind of a messy way to do it but it worked and now I have homemade butter in my kitchen! Thaks so much for the recipe!!

Classic Bran Muffins

If I could give this ten stars, I would! First time I made these, there were NO leftovers and this recipe makes 12 muffins!!! My kids (ages 1, 4, and 7)LOVED them. I only used half the sugar, as some others have suggested, and used applesauce instead of the oil and they were still delicious...at least that's what I heard...I never had a chance to even try one! I'm making them for desert tonight...maybe I'll get to finally try one! :) Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Man, these were good! First Shish Kabobs I ever made and they were a hit! My kids loved them, too! I did boil the bacon for 5 minutes, as others have suggested and I didn't have green onions on hand so I used what I had and they were still delish! I'll make these a lot this summer! Thanks for the recipe!

Brunch Enchiladas

I made this out of ham leftovers and they were great! I didn't have half and half, so I used a can of evaporated milk and water. Plus, I used an extra egg. It was still great and no leftovers! Thanks for the recipe!

Clark's Quiche

I didn't know what a "Quiche" dish was but learned that you could make it in a deep dish pie pan. It was delish! I followed the advise of other viewers and sauted onions and garlic. I used a biscuit mix recipe on this site (scaled way down, of course) since I didn't have my own. My husband loved it and my 17 month old had two servings! I have no leftovers cuz my hubby took it to work to eat it for lunch today! Thanks!

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies II

These were good and easy. My family ate them up in less than two days! I made my own cake mix from scratch cuz I didn't have any of the box but they still turned out great! Our store had a sale on the cake box mixes for a dollar a piece and I bought a bunch just to make this recipe! Thanks!!!!

Saucy Green Beans

I usually don't even try recipes that haven't been rated but this sounded so good to me and I wasn't disappointed! Even my kids ate it up, which is unusual cuz they don't like veggies. The only thing I didn't add was the bacon cuz I didn't have any on hand and I used canned green beans, but it was still yummy! I can't wait to try bacon and fresh beans. I recommend this recipe if you like sauce on your beans! Give it a try! You won't be sorry! Thanks for the recipe!

Red Enchilada Sauce

I liked this and so did my kids. I omitted the salt since salsa/tomato sauce has plenty but other than that, I didn't alter recipe at all. I know it's not authentic but it tasted good anyway! :o) Thanks!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

I've read some of the reviews that alter the recipe with brown sugar, vanilla, etc., but I didn't think it tasted half as good as the original recipe! I made these and gave them away to neighbors and friends. They were a hit! Everyone loved them and wanted the recipe. They sell these exact almonds here for about $6.99 for just a small serving! Thanks so much for the recipe and for saving me money. It's easy and fun to make!

Honey Baked Chicken II

This was a hit with my kids...which says a lot!!! I used frozen chicken tenderloins cuz that's all I had. I didn't even take the time to thaw them out; just threw them in the oven with that wonderful sauce! It was delicious! Thanks for the recipe!
