My family is Italian and my husband has been dying for me to make lasagna... the only problem was that I was great at eating it, but have never cooked it :) THIS RECIPE IS INCREDIBLE!!! This lasagna is flavorful and authentic! I made sure that I kept the fennel seed (don't forgo on it) and, per recommendation, I added some nutmeg to the ricotta. As an extra side note- I had no problem finding sweet Italian sausage at my local grocery store. Johnsonville (the same people that make the brats) had it available. Know this might not be the case for everyone, but ask a clerk just to be sure. ENJOY!!!
