About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking vegetarian. I also love to bake. I try to use whole grains and fresh foods. It is always my goal to make things seasonal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Birthday cakes. My mom always made us chocolate cake with chocolate chips and butter cream icing. It is seill the best birthday cake.
My cooking triumphs
Saag Paneer and naan. Also, everytime I make some new recipe that turns out great and is something I never imagined myself to be able to make at home. Recenty, I am able to put something together without a recipe and make excellent decisions when it comes to tweaking recipes.
My cooking tragedies
Cold Christmas dinner that sat out waiting for guests to arrive.

Spaghetti Squash with Pine Nuts, Sage, and Romano
I thought this would be a good flavor combination since I like pine nuts with brie and honey and I like sage and I like spaghetti squash, but it just didn't taste good together. The pine nuts were overpowering the whole thing. I gave it 3 stars because I'm thinking I am the odd ball here.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos
awesome!!! Thank you, I love these. I use scallions instead of onions. I cook dried kidney beans in the pressure cooker, then add all the ingredients together.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Beer
I don't think the beer really did anything amazing to the kielbasa. It tasted like sausage and sauerkraut to me.
