BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
This is a keeper. Although there is nothing special about this BBQ Pork, it is traditional and the reason I gave it a 5 star was for the ease. I like that you can cook this is a slow cooker and the few minutes in the oven browns it up nicely. You really need a good "homemade" BBQ sauce most of the store baught sauces are too artificial tasting.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
There is so much stuff in this meatloaf that one taste over powers the next. One thing that really stood out was the steak sauce. I was suprised because according to 1094 people this is the best meatloaf they ever tasted.

Original Irish Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
Definately better than the store bought. You control amount of whiskey you use and the quality. The better the brand of whiskey the better the flavor of the irish cream. I prefer a Canadian whiskey to the Irish whiskey. I think it gives it a smoother taste. Whatever you use you will not want the store bought version any longer.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
These cookies are great and easy to make! The almond and raspberry is a great combo. I don't use the icing over the top. I think they look pretty without it, besides I think it makes them taste a little to strong of almond, since you put almond extract in the icing.

Italian Wedding Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
Every time I have made these cookies I have received many compliments. They are definately one of the favorites at cookie exchanges. I did not give them 5 stars because although they are good, they also involve alot of prep time. Certainly not easy or inexpensive, the alomond paste is pricey. The cookies however taste heavenly.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
I tried this recipe because of the high reviews. I cannot understand what everyone thought was so great. First of all chicken and dumplings cannot be made with boneless chicken in a slow cooker, this recipe proves that and you certainly cannot use doughy refrigerator rolls. You need a fryer with the bones for the flavor, the boneless breasts were dry and tasteless. Refrigerator rolls are ment to be baked not boiled like you do with this recipe. This was a pile of goop..
