Hi, I'm Nique, mother of my gorgeous twin daughters and wife to a US ARMY soldier! I love abusing my slow cooker and bread machines. I will probably be replacing them in a few years from over use! I also love making cakes, and frosting. I like to play with recipes and make them different. I didn't grow up with a lot of traditions. Except for Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie. That recipe is super complicated and I can NEVER do the meringue justice, so I don't try! Discovering that I CAN cook! My mother was, and is, very much a throw it together kind of person. She rarely uses a recipe, and the results can be questionable! Discovering recipes and how wonderful and FUN cooking can be (as opposed to the chore mom made it seem) is my biggest triumph! KNOCK ON WOOD... I haven't had a real tragedy yet. My day will come! LOL
