I'm newly married to a wonderful British man who is the biggest fan of my cooking! I love my slow cooker, and creating great combinations of food to wow my husband! We once lived in a house that had carpet in the kitchen. I dropped a cake on its way into the oven face down on to the carpeted floor. So I had to scrape it up back into the pan and bake it anyhow. Good thing there wasn't too much fluff in the finished product.
