Wonderful! The people who left out the chili powder must not be from the South! I'm from Texas & like spice. My kids (one of them is picky) went back for more!

Bread Pudding II

Wonderful! I followed Christie's advice & used turbinado sugar. I also substituted half & half for 1 cup of the milk, and 1/4 tsp. each of nutmeg & ginger for 1/2 of the cinnamon. It was fantastic!

My super picky son went back for seconds! I cooked it in the crock pot after sprinkling some of the soup mix on the meat & browning it, first. The meat was very tender that way. I don't know why people are saying that they wouldn't serve it to guests. It was great!

Chicken a la Can Can

My friend has a recipe almost exactly like this, except she uses a box of Uncle Ben's wild rice (cooked according to package directions) in place of the regular rice. Try that, if you'd like more flavor. Super good! :)

Mom's Island Treasures

These are super great if you make them WRONG! The first time, I accidentally used 7/8 of a STICK of butter instead of a CUP, & they were EXCELLENT! They were soft & thick...delicious! A few weeks later, I tried them with the correct amount of butter, and they were crispy & flat. Now, I just soften a stick & cream it real good with the sugars, and they turn out great every time! Last week, I took them to a block party, and all of my neighbors LOVED them!
