About this Cook
I am the wife of a really great man & the stay-at-home mom of two super kids. My husband is a web designer. My daughter is in 4th grade, and my son is in 2nd. I love to scrapbook & read. I also love to volunteer in the youth group at my church.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make dessert!! I'm looking for the best brownie recipe out there. I haven't found it yet, but I love trying!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has a super wonderful pie that she has made since she was in in high school. Since she has become disabled, I now make it for family gatherings. My daughter has started a breakfast tradition for Christmas. She makes cinnamon rolls & sausage kolaches, and she lets me help a little bit!
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made a turkey for Thanksgiving, it turned out great, and the meat was falling off the bone! Also, I am afraid of adding spices without having an exact measurement. So, the times I have spiced up a dish on my own have been triumphant for me!
My cooking tragedies
Burning my cookware seems to be a recurring tragedy for me! Fortunately, last year, I had a Pampered Chef show where I earned enough to get their cookware that has a lifetime warranty!

Creamy Ice Coffee
This tastes just like something I'd get at $tarbuck$, but it's about 16 for the price of 1!

Mexican Chicken II
Wonderful! The people who left out the chili powder must not be from the South! I'm from Texas & like spice. My kids (one of them is picky) went back for more!

Bread Pudding II
Wonderful! I followed Christie's advice & used turbinado sugar. I also substituted half & half for 1 cup of the milk, and 1/4 tsp. each of nutmeg & ginger for 1/2 of the cinnamon. It was fantastic!
