mother of 3 children and a middle/high school English teacher I enjoy baking the most and usually share it with others so I don't have it around the house for me to eat. Baking and cooking for holidays is a favorite time for cooking. I also enjoy entertaining and trying new recipes that work well for entertaining guests. I think putting supper on the table every night during the school year is a triumph. Probably my worst event was when I volunteered to cook the Easter dinner for my husband's family. My mother-in-law bought the ham and brought it to me days earlier so it was in the freezer. It was still in a plastic grocery sack. When I went to take the ham out of the freezer the handle on the grocery sack broke and the frozen ham landed on my big toe and broke it. But I was a trouper and still made dinner the next day with a darn sore toe and the top of my foot black and blue to the middle of my foot. I learned my lesson. Be careful with frozen meat.
