About this Cook
I'm newly married to the most wonderful man on the planet!
My favorite things to cook
Hungarian, Italian, and good old American food
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom's Hungarian stuffed cabbage--it's stinky and smelly, but incredibly tasty!
My cooking triumphs
Roasting a turkey all by myself for about 25 of my friends in college. I realized how easy it really was and how much fun it was to entertain people.
My cooking tragedies
Inviting friends over for bratwurst. I soaked the brats all night in beer and prepared the side dishes, put them on the grill and sat down to chat with them. I totally forgot about the brats on the grill until I smelled the burnt meat wafting over to our table!

Peach Ice Cream
Very good recipe that was easy to make. I made it for our end of the summer family picnic and it was a big hit!

Easy Red Velvet Cake
My husband's favorite cake is red velvet, so I decided to make one for his birthday--New Year's Eve. It turned out great and was nice and moist. I'd definitely do this cake again. Thanks!

Aaahh! Potato Soup
My husband and I enjoyed this soup very much. I used chicken stock for the entire liquid base as suggested by another reviewer and put dried, diced onions in the soup as well as some shredded cheese with the heavy cream. Very tasty!
