Savory Vegetable Beef Stew
This was absolutely the best. I followed the recipe but coated the meat with flour at the onset. I also added a can of green beans and split the amount of potatoes between Irish potatoes ands sweet potatoes. I had to run an errand so I put the stew in the oven at 350. This was definitely a great way to cook this. Even with te flour at the beginning, it still needed to be thickened so I sprinkled instant mash potato flakes over it and stirred it until it was the consistancy that I wanted. I always use instant potatoes as a thickener when ever possible.

Baked Potato Soup II
a friend asked if I could make potato soup without onions so I came to this site. I made the sauce and added mashed potatoes from last night, crushed two chicken boullion cubes, some garlic powder and onion powder. I used 1/3 cup of sour cream. He doesn't know about the onion powder but I used dry onion and powder when I know he wants me to cook for him . Raves and he is fine. (NOt a health thing)

Emily's Famous Apple Pie
Rave, Rave, Rave. I made this for a friend who was visiting. I used some unknown apples off the tree in the yard. I used store pie crust, substituted nutmeg for cloves. I brushed the top with milk and sprinkled it with raw sugar. The first pie over cooked but was good, the second one was a picture and tasted like something from heaven. I have more apples sitting on the porch so this recipe will definitely be used over and over.
