I love cooking for my family and holiday get togethers. Trying new recipes and tweeking(changing to suit my taste) them is my favorite. Down side is when it doesn't turn out good. That just bums me out. I just laugh and try something different. I Really love cooking dishes to take to potluck at our church. It is a great time to get together with other christians to eat and try new dishes and praise God!
My favorite things to cook
Casseroles for a crowd and crock pot meals on cold evenings.
My favorite family cooking traditions
All homemade pies that my mother-in-law makes(I'm still learning to make these) at Thanksgiving and Christmas. At Easter I make a bunny rabbit cake that my mother used to make(she died 15 yrs ago) and I have passed it down to my kids. They all look forward to that.
My cooking triumphs
Making my husband and kids smile when they take a bite of something that I have made make me very, very happy.
My cooking tragedies
Oh there are so many. I am kind of messy when I am creating. A few times I have had to actually throw something away that I have made. Talk about frustrating! My husband just says it ok and I should keep on trying (while he is munching on pizza he had to go buy for dinner.
