Fantastic corn bread. I used a ratio of 2:1:1 cornmeal:all purpose flour:whole wheat flour. There was none left after the meal.

Southern Peach Cobbler

Delicious, easy cobbler. I had to use canned peaches, because the fresh peaches at the grocery store weren't ripe enough. I used two cans of sliced peaches in juice, but probably should have used three. Not quite enough fruit. Still got raves, however.

Unbeatable Pecan Pie

This is a delicious pie, with a more sophisticated flavor and a little lighter than the standard pecan pie. I used 2 teaspoons (not 2 tablespoons) of butter to brown the pecans, as another reviewer suggested. I also added a tablespoon of bourbon to the maple syrup mix, and was pleased that I did.

Fig and Olive Tapenade

Delicious! I made this for a cocktail party last night, and it was my favorite recipe of the evening. It would be even nicer paired with something a little more elegant than cream cheese, but the tapenade itself is fantastic.
