About this Cook
My husband and I have been married for 10 years now. We have two beautiful children (Claire-age 8 and Seth-age 5) that, I am proud to say, aren't picky eaters. I prepare 100% of the food in our house and love to try new recipes. Cooking is not a chore for me, it is more of a hobby. Whenever my children want to ask me a question or talk to me, they always look for me in the kitchen first!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make appetizers, desserts, main courses. I really like to experiment with copying restaurant recipes. My latest attempt is P.F. Chang's chicken lettuce wraps and dipping sauce. You name it and I will try it...except for seafood. I abhor the smell of fishy foods!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Both of my children love to work with me in the kitchen. In particular, m son, Seth, calls himself Emeril--as in Emeril Lagasse on Food Network. He always makes sure to adorn himself in his chef coat and hat when he prepares something to eat with me.

Easy Cheese Ball II
The people complaining of the cheese ball being too salty probably did one of two things.....bought the dip mix instead of the DRESSING mix or used less han 16 oz of cream cheese. I just made it accorsing to instructions (plus added green onions) and it is perfect. There is no way that you can say this cheese ball is salty if you followed the recipe.

Salmon Patties I
I think these salmon patties would have been better if the directions said to saute the onions first. The cakes fried up well, turned golden brown, BUT....there were lots of little bits of raw uncooked crunchy onion pieces throughout the interior of the patties. I also think that I should have added some salt and pepper to them because the flavor was lacking (and I even used seasoned breadcrumbs). All in all, these do not taste as fantastic as I had anticipated--the reviews made them seem wonderful.

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad
This is absolutely delicious. I don't like cilantro but I added it anyway for color. it really ended up tasting good after all.
