I made these and They WERE awesome. I made 32 and took some to my mom. My grandma used to make them and I wanted a recipe similar to hers. This one came pretty close. YUM!

Microwave Caramel Popcorn

I made this with pretzels because I had a bunch leftover. Mmmm these are good. But, if pretzels are used, omit the salt. I forgot the pretzels already had salt on them. But, still good. Great recipe!

Toad In a Hole

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
I also had these growing up. My mom made these for us, except we called them 'Frogs on a log'. Don't forget to toast the 'hole'. We always liked eating the little round pieces of toast. Thanks for the AWESOME flashback!

Sock it to Me Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
I love, love, love this recipe. I can't stop eating it. I made this cake in an oven-safe plastic round cake pan. I was worried halfway through baking that it would cook too quickly on the outside, and be runny on the inside. I lowered the oven temp to 350, and baked it an extra 10 min. I also used 1/2 c. of sour cream and more cinnamon. But I know it still would have been perfect had I followed the recipe exactly. I left off the icing and it was so moist and GOOD! I also swirled the batter with a butter knife after I layered the streusle filling in the middle. I read the reviews about too much cinnamon right in the middle. I liked that change the best. It gave it an eveness. Excellent, thank you, will make it again ASAP!

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
Yummy! I was in the mood for Indian Flatbread tacos, like I get at the fair. I made the fry taco bread and added my own mix of seasoned ground beef and diced potatoes. It was delicious topped with with cheese, sour cream and chopped tomatoes.

Chile Colorado

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
I have never made Chile Colorado until today. It is simmering right now. I love the flavor. I also used 3 guajillo pods along with the new mexico chiles. The only thing I can add is DO NOT FORGET to do the step where you pass the puree through a fine mesh strainer. I almost didn't do it because it looked smooth, but it wasn't. I did it after I realized the chili skin wasn't blended. Now it tastes awesome. Great recipe, I will make this again, thank you.

Oven-Barbecued Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This was delicious. I made Scalloped potatoes as a side. I didn't want to crowd the oven so I cooked the pork with the Bbq sauce in a covered saucepot for about an hour on medium. My husband loved it.Very flavorful sauce.
