About this Cook
I try to cook every chance I get. My family knows that I like to try new recipes, and I take my list of ingredients with me every time I go grocery shopping.
My favorite things to cook
Lasagna (my moms recipe)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving we always bring a traditional side dish and one new dish. I always make my cream cheese mashed potatoes. One year my new dish was a cranberry sauce I found on all recipes, everybody loved it. Now I have to make it every year. So long, canned Ocean Spray.
My cooking triumphs
When my husband and I were dating, he came over to my house and I made him dinner for the first time. It was a pork dish with a spicy salsa, rice and beans. He says it was the best meal I ever made for him. I have never been able to make it the same way since.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count

Awesome Egg Rolls
I made these and They WERE awesome. I made 32 and took some to my mom. My grandma used to make them and I wanted a recipe similar to hers. This one came pretty close. YUM!

Microwave Caramel Popcorn
I made this with pretzels because I had a bunch leftover. Mmmm these are good. But, if pretzels are used, omit the salt. I forgot the pretzels already had salt on them. But, still good. Great recipe!

Toad In a Hole
I also had these growing up. My mom made these for us, except we called them 'Frogs on a log'. Don't forget to toast the 'hole'. We always liked eating the little round pieces of toast. Thanks for the AWESOME flashback!
