My fiance, Dave, and I
About this Cook
I am 26 years old and am married to a totally awesome man since April 2008! We are constantly busy and on the go, so quick food is important, but so is healthy! I was born and raised in St. Louis, and 2 years ago moved to Seattle for a job, which is where I began having to cook for myself. I LOVE to do it and now totally appreciate all the effort my mom put into it!
My favorite things to cook
Anything. I will try it all if I have a recipe to follow. I love cooking Asian style, as well as Mexican and hometown, family type dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies. :) My mom and I did it together every year. Now that we don't live together anymore, Dave and I cook them and I call Mom while we're doing it. :)
My cooking triumphs
I think just mastering as many dishes as I have without burning things! I have more oils and vinegars and spices than I ever thought I'd have! I've expanded my horizons to what's out there!
My cooking tragedies
Oh dear. Brownie chips. No matter how many amazing dishes I make, my family will never let me forget the one time that I tried to make boxed brownies with no eggs. It was NOT pretty. :)

Pizza Casserole
This is such a great recipe! I added pineapples to it, because my husband and I love pineapples on our pizza! It made way too much for the two of us, so we split it out and put it in the fridge for leftovers! I made it healthier by using ground turkey and turkey pepperoni. We also added pizza seasoning and crushed red peppers for some extra kick! Yum!

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas
This was such a yummy, quick recipe! My husband and I have such busy days and sometimes nights, that it's nice to be able to make a filling, healthy meal that can be made quickly! The only problem I had was that I couldn't eat it all! :D

Quick Crescent Taco Pie
This was SO good! I forgot to add the black olives on "accident". :) I served them on the side, along with some tomatoes and lettuce. It was the perfect complement! I would definitely do this again! It's so easy!
