Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I like this recipe, but I did not follow it 100%. I used brown sugar instead of white and couldn't find maple sugar to roll them in so I used white. These were very good, but a bit too sweet... rolling them in sugar was over-kill for me. But my friends 6yr old loooved them ! I give this recipe a 3.. the kid gave them a 5 !

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This turned out sooo good. Although I baked a two layer round cake and used more cream cheese in the frosting ( I thought it was waaay too sugary )The cake its self was moist and flavorful and had a great balance; it wasnt too sweet or to savory ! yumm.. but i would suggest using 14oz cream cheese in the frosting and an extra tsp of vanilla.

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
Loved these cookies, although I used 1tsp of vanilla and 1tsp coconut extract along with 1/2c chopped white chocolate. I also toasted the coconut flakes in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes. :) Very good

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I loved the quality of this quice and got raves from my roommates for sunday brunch! Although I added 4 slightly boiled asparagas cut into small pieces in the mix, also placed small thin cheese slices ontop and broiled the quiche at the end for a few minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
Sooooo delicious !! Although I used marinated artichoke hearts and 1/2 sour cream 1/2 light mayo. My boyfriend isn't a big fan of artichokes or mayo, but this chicken came out so wonderfully juicy and creamy he raved about it !

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I've tried many different biscotti recipes, but this one is my favorite. I like to experiment with different fillings.. once I added 3/4c chopped dried cranberries and 1/3c almonds and substituted vanilla extract for almond extract and drizzled with white chocolate cinnamon mix and it was DELICIOUS. Another favorite altercation is to add one chopped and frozen large candy bar (I use a local organic hazelnut milk chocolate bar... symphony bars work as well) and add crushed bits to mix before baking. They seem to melt instantly when dipped into hot coffee. Another idea is 3/4c shredded coconut and 1/4c white chocolate bits. After they have cooled dip them into white chocolate and sprinkle with coconut ! Soooo very good and sooo easy to make. My boyfriend hates crunchy biscotti, but absolutely loves this recipe.. And my mother loves hard crunchy biscotti and just raves about how good of a recipe this is. I brought a double batch of candy bar biscotti to work and they didn't even last 2 days before they were completely devoured by co-workers !! For christmas, I am adding nutmeg, cinnamon, peppermint extract and crunched ghiradelli peppermint chocolates to the mix. Topping with white chocolate and peppermint sprinkles :) This recipe is THE best and originality makes it even better !
