Well lets see, I started cooking when I was a little girl. My mom hates to cook, but my Grandma was a fantastic cook, and since my mom worked all the time, she kept me. Everything she knew about cooking, she taught me. She also instilled in me the love of cooking, which in my opinion is always the most important ingredient in any dish! If you put love in it, it's always good!
My favorite things to cook
Hmm.. just about anything, though I really enjoy baking the most.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have always had a huge family, and my grandma always loved holidays because she got to cook for everyone, now it's my turn and I love having them all at my table. She taught me how to make all kinds of things that were always a tradition, but the two most important were chicken and noodles, and choc. meringue pie!
My cooking triumphs
Cinnamon Rolls. My first time to make cinnamon rolls, my grandma and my aunt both laughed at me, thinking I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but they came out perfect, and according to my grandma "it made them eat their words, cause they were better than hers!"
My cooking tragedies
oh lord. Too many to list.. but I'll say the worst were the chicken fried steak I made for my husband before we got married.. inedible, and the carrot cake that never rose...haha.
