It's a good recipe. I used rice flour (which is very easy to make if you have a spice grinder or a very tenacious blender) and the recipe turned out really well.

Pasties II

This is a fantastic recipe, and what's more, if you decide you don't like this particular filling, you can fill it with just about anything you can imagine. I filled some with leftover beef stew and they were heavenly. I even filled them with some leftover pecan pie filling and they were MARVELOUS (though one of them did rupture...) So much fun to make.

Pancake Stack with Syrup

I don't like pancakes. They've always sat like bricks in my stomach and I've ALWAYS regretted eating them. It was my turn to cook dinner last night, and the family was howling for breakfast food. Pancakes, it seemed, were required. I chose this recipe, and I'm glad I did. These are VERY good pancakes. Not those horrible, rubbery gut-stuffing things I've grown to hate. These pancakes may well renew my faith in the pancake world. I will definitely make these again.

Pecan Sandies

I was out of butter and vegetable oil, so I replaced the butter with butter-flavored shortening and I replaced the vegetable oil with peanut oil. It worked out rather well. These cookies are WONDERFUL. I'll definitely be making them again... hopefully with the right ingredients at hand. :)

Caramel Frosting IV

Positively delightful, and a little goes a long way. Very sweet, which can be your friend or your enemy depending on how you want to use this. I've found that if you boil it a little longer than two minutes after you get the brown sugar in, you get a much stronger caramel flavor. The longer you boil, the stronger the flavor is.

David's Yellow Cake

It's pretty alright. Perhaps I made a mistake somewhere along the line... but I found this recipe to be a bit too gritty to fit my standards for a yellow cake. It's not bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting.
