About this Cook
I'm 22 years old and I live in the same town and same house I've lived all my life. I have a younger brother, 3 dogs and 2 hamsters, and I just plain love to bake!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook desserts and sweets of all kinds. If pressed I do cook dinners. My life would be so much easier if I had a live in dish washer!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have this recipe that has been passed down for 5 generations that everyone in my family loves. I plan to keep passing it.
My cooking triumphs
The first thing I ever baked was a Devil's Food Cake. It didn't last long! Today, I still make it and it's the most melt in your mouth cake ever!
My cooking tragedies
I had an incedent where I switched condensed milk with evaporated. As you can imagine, that didn't turn out well.

Cold Oven Pound Cake
This is a GREAT recipe for pound cake. it comes out perfect every time! I've made it like 10 times already and am always asked for the recipe! The only thing I did differently was baked at 325 degrees F for 90 minutes instead of 300. Great recipe!

Egyptian Rose Leaves
I Loved these. They were nice and chewy, just the way I like my cookies! They are a little time consuming to shape but the result is nice. I used rose water because I couldn't find the fluid anywere. I used 2 1/2 teaspoons, and got a barely there rose flavor, so I think I'll double it again nex time to 5 teaspoons. Also, I got 55 cookies, not 36. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

Cauliflower-Cheese Soup
I have to admit, this was pretty good! the only reason this recipe is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a bit bland and I had to add more spices then just salt and pepper. I think nex time I make it, I'll use chicken or vegetable stock to cook the veggies like some other reviewers did. All in all a pretty good recipe!
