About this Cook
I live in Mount Forest Ontario and I like to cook as a hobby when I find free time from my job and busy schedule.
My favorite things to cook
Main Dishes, Candy, Soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a secret AMAZING rice pudding recipe that has been in the family for a very long time.
My cooking triumphs
I made a killer chicken pot pie when I was 12 that everyone raved about. I've always liked to experiment since then.
My cooking tragedies
The chocolate fudge I attempted from a recipe book that scorched, set off my smoke alarm, turned into burnt chocolate brittle, and turned my right hand orangy yellow from over stirring it while it was scorching. Ya that was a bad day.

Thai Cucumber Salad
Sorry folks, not a big fan of this one. I don't think I like cilantro because it overpowered the taste of everything and that's all I could taste in my mouth ... for hours. My boyfriend thought the salad was OK at best. I'm surprised this many people like cilantro. Ewww

Sweet Chili Thai Sauce
This was amazing. I didn't have a hot chili to dice so I used tabasco in it's place. This taste just like the Thai sauce that Presidents Choice bottles. We had it with a Thai meal and the leftover was sitting on the table. Later, roasted chicken potato chips were dipped in it. Also amazing.

15-Minute Dinner Nachos Supreme
This was pretty good. My spouse enjoyed it more than I did, but it was good. I went with the recipe as listed, but I added a can of kidney beans as another person suggested to give it more "fill". I think a chopped jalepeno might spice it up a little more for my liking. Also ... be sure to use 5 minute instant rice. I think some reveiwers must have used reg (20 min) rice.
